This is going to be a really short blog! In fact, we almost just called it "Cool Tool Alert"!

Every now and then a digital tool comes along that just make us stand up and say WOW, look at that! Such is the case with Unsplash. Read on to see what all the noise is about.

Unsplash is a photo repository where anyone can go and use any of the gorgeous photos you see for free.  Really! There are no gimmicks we can see. And if it sounds too good to believe, just read the Unsplash License straight from the website.

All photos published on Unsplash can be used for free. You can use them for commercial and noncommercial purposes. You do not need to ask permission from or provide credit to the photographer or Unsplash, although it is appreciated when possible.

More precisely, Unsplash grants you an irrevocable, nonexclusive copyright license to download, copy, modify, distribute, perform, and use photos from Unsplash for free, including for commercial purposes, without permission from or attributing the photographer or Unsplash. This license does not include the right to compile photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service.

So there it is. Time to spice up your projects, websites, and digital resources with beautiful pictures from Unsplash. And while you are it, go ahead and give credit to these great and generous photographers.
